Six of San Diego’s brightest jazz talents take the stage together for the first time celebrating the release of The Anthony Smith Vibraphone Quartet’s new two-volume recording, “Connections“.
“Connections” is not just a culmination of musical relationships and melodies, but also a tribute to some of Anthony’s musical influences and heroes, including Bobby Hutcherson (whom the two-volume recording is dedicated to), John Coltrane, Cedar Walton, Herbie Hancock, and the late Bay Area pianist, Don Haas. The performance will feature the talents of pianist Mike Wofford, flutist Holly Hofmann, guitar virtuoso Peter Sprague, bassist Danny Weller, and drummer Duncan Moore.
$15 online tickets are available at asmith1.bpt.me until midnight PST the night before the event. Tickets will be available at the door for $17. 21+ only.
Food and drinks served beginning at 7:00; $10 minimum per person.
